I am trying to determine if my flatulence is part of my UC or simply my diet and/or swallowing too much air. Does anyone else have problems with flatulence? Mine seems to come no matter what I eat.

It has to be UC-related.  I never had gas like this before UC.  I don't have it to often, but when I do I could put down a horse with the smell. smhair

Thats a good sign your food isnt digesting properly and basically ferments in your gut which in turn feeds bad bacteria which in turn produce gas as a waste product. You should really try some probiotics and diet changes, that helped me out way more than Gas-x ever did.

My situation is different.   I had this problem years before I was diagnosed with UC, but my suggestion may help some people.   A couple of co-workers mentioned they are lactose intolerant with most dairy products.   I had milk with cereal & creamer with my coffee every morning.  I decided to buy the lactose free products to see if this would help.  It reduced my problem by 90%.   It's worth a try.
