Works.

Really, I've been on it for a few months not, and I'm surprised to say that its been going really well. I feel kind of tired and weird the day of the infusion, but other than that, it seems to be working.

Also: I was dumpster diving today and found a bike! Score!

I was amazed at how fast it worked for me also but the last few days I have been having problems again. I have been of pred for 4 days and it has been a few weeks since my last infustion and I am so mad. I thought the remicade fixed me and I wouldn't have to deal with this again - or at least for a while. It got me off pred but out of nowhere I went from perfect to back where I started in 4 days!!

Remicade has worked amazingly quick for me so far. Within a few days of my first infusion I've had no more mucus, very little blood, only a small amount of cramping, no D, and way less urgency!

I actually went grocery shopping the other day without one single emergency trip to the public restroom.....

..... I could get used to THAT! :)

When it works, it's amazing. I've been in remission since April, 2006 from Remicade after no combination of meds - even including Prednisone - could get me there. I wish it worked for everyone, unfortunately that isn't the case.

I just had my third infusion yesterday. I don't want to jinx myself(knock on wood) But I slept through the first night in 4 months without having to get up and go to the bathroom. I have had not had any urgency since yesterday afternoon this is major for me. I was going too many times to count just the day before. I was a little tired yesterday because the gave me a benadril before the infusion but I am impressed! I was hospitalized for 19 days and was at the point of surgery. in Sept. so this is a huge milestone for me.
Prednisone 40mg a day
Clotrimazole Troche (keeps the thrush away from the Pred.)
just started Remicaid hope it works

Just back from 19 days in hospital with 2 blood transfusions for Anemia

Yes, it's been awesome for me too! I've been on it for a long time -- no problems or reactions. Socalsd, you might want to switch from Benedryl to Claritin or Zyrtec; I did that because the Benedryl made me so sleepy. Of course, when my infusions were longer I didn't mind the nice nap! Now they are about 2 hours total, so I don't want to be sleepy while driving home.
