Reglan, metoclopramide ??

Anyone prescribed this for gastro problems.  I called my NP about the nausea and other side effects from Lialda and she called this in to the pharmacy (through my doc) and my husband took the call while I was getting my flu shot.  Any experience out there with it.  The list of side effects from it are VERY long!! (but aren't they all)  I will try it - try most anything once.

New diagnosed with proctosigmoiditis - 6/2008
10/3/2008 - agreed to try one Lialda and one Canasa every day due to my sensitivity to all medications and side effects. Colonoscopy 10/28 to reaccess.
Probiotic Align, Prilosec for GERD

I took it for around three months with no problems. I was having terrible nausea and wasn't holding food down at all wheni was prescribed them.I remember that i still had the nausea while i was taking them but it wasn't as bad.

Reglan helps to promote gastric motility. I give it to chemo patients that are having a lot of nausea. For some it helps and some it does nothing. I have never taken it though.

I read all about it on the internet but don't understand why a doctor prescribes it for side effects from Lialda and other mesalamines.  He did a endoscope and said all was ok up there.

I will try it but I also have sweating, chills, headache, ear ringing, etc. and I don't think this is what I need for all that - but I am not the doctor - so trying it tomorrow.
