Joined the forum just to share this story of how my colitus has gotten a lot better. I had difficulty making it through the day as I had to run to the bathroom about 14-15 times per day. Now I only go 3-4 times in the morning.
Thanks to this little bar that can be found in the yogurt section of the supermarket. I get mine at Safeway. It's "Attune" , a nutrition bar that contains 5x the live active cultures found in yogurt. It comes in a colorful wrapper and in several flavors.
I eat two per day. It may not help everyone, I don't even know how it helps me but its the only thing I've changed in my diet, and I feel a lot better.

Thanks,

Darius.

Wow, good to hear. I've eaten a couple of those Attune bars. They're pretty tasty. Thanks, Darius!

No problem, Emory.. I should also add that dairy is completely out my diet except for this yogurt bar, wheat's always been totally out of it too.

The nice thing about yogurt is the lactose is already broken down so if you happen to have lactose intolerance issues as well then yogurt is a safe alternative to dairy...then again, taking a probiotic called primadophilus reuteri made by natures way daily also aids with lactose intolerance and then lactaid products are not even necessary...it has also helped with my IBD and IBS issues as well.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)

Yeah, yogurt's always agreed with me as well. I don't want to sound like a pitchman, but its this particular product "Attune" that helped me feel better and help eliminate my flareup, its full of probiotics. No other yogurt actually has done that for me, not even Danactive. Other yogurt probably helps too, but I want to share my "Attune" success story ! Now I'm really sounding like a pitchman, but they have a website: http://www.attunefoods.com/
