This stuff has been around and used longer than any of the pharmacueticals we are on. I actually used and keep pascalite clay. I even made enemas with the stuff. So, to be scared of it.... No reason to be. It will bulk up the stool a bit, and it is pretty nasty going down. It's a little rough to use as an enema, and I probably wouldn't do it if flaring due to the grittiness. I gave a patient of mine some of my pascalite to get her over a brown recluse spider bite, that her regular MD had been treating for over 4 months with no success. I usually used a couple tablespoons in 10 oz water, and just chugged it. Used a couple of cups of it and submersed in a hot bath too.

What do you do, drink it? Then is it supposed to lump all the toxins & such into clumps, then you pass them? Interesting. I'm always leery of things that claim to "clean" your colon/bodies- aren't colons supposed to have toxins in them? Isn't their function to clean the junk out? I had thought that all I needed was a good colon cleanse when I first started experiencing UC symptoms, but I never did one. Too chicken. Then it turns out that colon cleanses, like hydrotherapy, tablets & enemas & all, are supposed to be really bad for people with UC. I'm of the mindset that the body is a self-cleaning organism. I don't know that it'd hurt, but help??? I wonder if it'd alter the PH balance, or flush away all the good bacterias.

Yeah, I would never recommend something unless I had tried it myself. Not bentonite clay, but pascalite clay.. they are very similiar. You won't see clumps of anything, but your bm's may change color a little. I do know when I bath with it, which is only once every 6 months or so, I feel completely drained for the next day or so afterwards. I personally wouldn't and don't use it daily. It may not help my UC, but my overall function is the bigger picture.

The body is self-cleansing when used the way it was intended to be used. With all the artificial junk we start injecting and ingesting into it right from birth, I believe this stuff compounds in the body. That on top of all the wonderful man made preservatives, colorings, drugs, and everything else you can think of, we seriously abuse ourselves. I think that's why alot of people do different cleanses.

my friend drank the bentonite clay and lost 14 lbs just from poop.
it came out looking like small intestines. she said it was gross. but she felt great after.
big long nasty things coming out of the butt during a flare might seem a bit too much. but i guess it all depends on how your doing/feeling.
