Think your long lasting flair is from your UC...perhaps it's really not!

I just had a full scope with numerous biopsies and I am (thank God) 100% IBD free, BUT I still get excess gas, some cramping after a BM lasting several hours somedays and my stool gets mushy at the end of a BM all with NO it must just be IBS, and if I did not just have a scope I'd sware I was still flaring!!! Don't be fooled and or scared as you may not be having an IBD flair especially if there is no blood, fever etc.  Just knowing my current lasting symptoms are not from my pancolits gives me great relief. Hope this helps some here : )

having blood and fever are a bit higher on the degree scale with UC that isn't really an indicator of whether one has a flare or not.

Are you speaking about your biopsy results that state that you're in remission with no inflammation? That's awesome!

I would say that IBS for many patients as well as meds sometimes can have one's bms changed. If frequency, urgency and rectal discomfort with bms is a factor, definitely consider it to be inflammation and early symptoms of a flare.

What are you going to do regarding your meds...oral/rectal....are you still on both as you have stated in your siggie?
