I know this wonderful disease affects our joints etc.  However, with me when I wake up in the a.m. my hands are swollen and a bit tender.  Do any of you experience this as well?

Yeppers.......in fact I just got diagnosed with osteoarthritis the other day. But OA is usually from overusage, injuries etc. Ibd'ers in general have a higher incidence of arthritis usually RA and any unusual findings should be reported to your doctor so he/she can examine you.
