It could be one of two things...early flare with low in the rectum inflammation (which I would suspect) or IBS which can cause spasming in the rectum. Both cause your symptoms.
If you do have any rectal meds, I would suggst to use them now...
Dicyclomine (antispasmodic) will help. Rather than taking a laxative (which will get your bowel into a quick moving action...take a stool softener or add Metamucil Smooth once a day after supper. That will help bulk the stool and soften it.
Make sure you're taking enough fluids during the day.
