I am new and haven't been diagnosed yet.
My test is at 3PM today...and I have been doing the prep since yesterday. How do you know when your bowel is "clear" enough. I already have diahrrea on a regular basis anyway. My BMs were a light brown/yellow liqiud with no solid stuff already last night, and I am supposed to drink more of that stuff in a few minutes, but I already have diahrrea! Do I really need to drink more phospho-soda...or just drink more liquids?
How much cleaner can I get!?

Usually being cleaned out means having your D be around the color of mustard or a light brown - but clear (translucent). Boy is that rough to have the scope that late in the day! It's best to follow the directions but it seems to me that you are clear now. Can you call the docs answering service to see if they can get a hold of them and ask him?

When I did my prep I only managed to drink 3/4 of it and my bm's were brown, not clear but when I had the colonoscopy the doc said I was cleaned out well so you will probably be ok, just make sure you drink plenty of water to flush it all through and you'll be fine.

Just do your best. I've had some preps where I was pooping gatorade. The last one, it was still a little brownish/yellow. The scope pictures weren't as clear, but they got what they needed. As long as you follow the instructions, you should be ok. Good luck!

Thanks for the input. I did end up taking another dose of the stuff. This morning my BMs were back to a mustard color liquid, then they turned to a light yellow/clear again. Me pee was darker than my BM. shocked
I figured I better just take the darn stuff to be safe. The worst part was that I had a pevic ultrasound this morning and had to drink a bunch of water and hold it in for a long time. That was very painful.
I just can't wait to get done and EAT!
Although, I actually feel pretty good since my colon is empty. Having anything in my bowels is so uncomfortable...this is actually kind of nice!

My doctor has the best prep- take 2 ducolax then later on during the day Miralax
with Gatorade! I used to take phospha-soda and I would vomit.  The Miralax is a powder that dissolves in the Gatorade and it literally tastes like Gatorade.  The Miralax is tasteless!

I start prepping tomorrow. YAY! I made sure mine is at 9 in the morning though. I'll never have one in the afternoon again. No fun.
