Has anyone here had success with N-Acetyl Glucosamine?

I am planning on trying it, but just wanted some input first to see if it is what it says it is...

I think it's one of the main ingredients in MucosaHeal - So must be good.

NAG - (N-Acetyl Glucosamine) has an anti inflammatory effect in the bowel as well as in joints. There are only successful case reports and no blinded trial reports as yet. The major advantage of NAG is that it is so free of adverse effects.

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999.
 
Maintenance dose sulfasalazine.
Probiotics, l-glutamine and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice. Oregano oil antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal. Long-term remission with only minor blips.
