Hi all. I just began Imuran about a week ago and this past weekend I had the most horrible nausea. I know a lot of people warned me about that. My question is, will the nausea eventually subside as with other medications or does it just get worse with Imuran? I am worried that I'll have to stop the Imuran too. I've already had a reaction to Remicade so that's out of the question. Imuran seemed to be my last resort. Can anyone who is taking/has taken Imuran please get back to me on this?

took me a couple of weeks to get over the nausea. I also began taking it after dinner a couple of hours before bed.

If your nausea continues for longer then 2-3 weeks then give your doc a call. If you are not having a bad reaction to it, maybe the doc can give you something for the nausea. Also, to help with the nausea you can try drinking peppermint tea. I get occasional nausea and this really helps me.
