Maybe you were able to keep the cold virus from penetrating past the nostrils and preventing it from going past that area?
You are using some antiinflammatories, so it's possible that's what helped your immune system fight it off quickly.
I've had it happen only once where one evening I could actually feel something "buzzing" in my nose with sneezing, watering eyes, congestion..etc. I blew my nose every 5 minutes and by the time I went to bed it was gone. Now, it could have been an allergy, but I'll never know.
I do take Cold FX at the start of a cold and L-Lysine but some stay and others are kept at bay.
I'm happy for you it didn't turn into anything worse.
There's a lot to say for blowing noses a lot! Sometimes we don't have the opportunity and "snorking" sucks it in farther...
