Hi,

The last few weeks on and off I have not been feeling the best.  My stools are soft, but formed.  No blood or mucus. However, sometimes I think my rectal is inflammed, but that area just feels inflammed after I go.  I have been having some cramps, some throbing pain at my colon (i have left sided UC) and I sometimes get a pain in my stomach.

Could this be start of a flare or just little side effects, without having a flare.  I have been having this for a few weeks on and off.  I sometimes have the urge to go to the washroom and have been going usually 4 times a day.

I usually go 2 twice a day.  Usually within the first half hour I am up.  Stools are soft, but formed.

I am currently on Salofalk 500mg, I take 4 tablets twice daily.  Have been on this since March 07

absolutely..start on rectal meds.

or, you can wait until you're much worse and it's more confirmed for you.

It's a learning process...

Start the rectal meds., and if you don't have a script for them...get one.

I'd suggest the Salofalk retention enemas.
