Vitamin B, UC, and depression

I wonder if anyone here has suffered depression along with UC, and if malabsorption of vitamin B, especially B6 and B12, has played a role?
21 years of UC which started after quitting smoking. In and out of flares which are usually triggered by antibiotics. Latest issue is endless diarrhea without blood or mucous.

Yes, I think that if you look, you will see that several of us are on anti-depressants. There is even a study on the link between IBD and depression in Canada. Here is the link: http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSCOL46695720080904

I am not sure about the B vitamins and malabsorption. I would be interested to hear more about that.
