Well I got off my antibiotics and was feeling better, but when I started my period that same day when I went pee, it burned, it has not burned since then. I have a sharp on lower, lower left and it hurts above my pelvic bone, I know that's where the ovariars and woman parts are. This morning I had stabing pain up my anus and around my woman parts. I will know if it's another UTI today, I did a urine test yesterday. My other doc said I will have reoccuring UTI's unless I take care of the bad bacteria in the gut. He did a stool test and determined I had bacteria (badbugs) in my stool coming from the gut, since he's a naturopath he said Olive Leaf Extract will take care of it, it takes time. If they tell me another UTI and it's bacteria from the gut is there a antibiotic I should ask to take? The last one I took was time released and my colon doctor said it only released in the bladder, it was Nitro, something by a company called Mylan. I just want to get rid of the bacteria.
Any suggestions? I would be very surprised the doc said no UTI, I would be happy as all get out, but the way I feel I don't know. I will know around 11am EST so if you can suggest a antibiotic i can tell him I want to take that will help the gut too, please let me know.

Hi therearemiracles...sorry you are not feeling so well. I swear by the 5 day Zpack antibiotic; five days of antibiotics and you are done. Also, try the over the counter UTI med called (I think) AZO, I swear it helps with the pain. Take care, hope this helps.

For UTI's, I've had luck with Bactrim (Septra) or Cipro. And yes, AZO really helps with pain from bladder infections. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry you're not feeling great for the holidays...and trust me, I definitely feel your pain.   I have recurring UTIs and can't take antibiotics.  I am allergic to a majority, and the antibiotics brought on my colitis.  When I knew I had one last month, I went nuts googling home remedies for it on the internet. Well, I ended up going to GNC and buying Barley Grass pills and the drink mix.  the drink mix tasted like wet grass, and it wasn't the most pleasant experience, but after a few days my pain was gone!  I also took cranberry supplements around the clock.  AZO makes cranberry supplements that I take daily, and it seems to be helping.  I know it seems crazy, but try the barley!  Good luck love!
