I HAVE to brag. I have a wonderful husband. Out of all my family on my side my husband is the best. I've had a horrible family life growing up, and he rescued me when we met. He was there when everything has happened to me. He is very supportive of my choices, supportive and protective of me in general. He doesn't like my family at all (course he doesn't like them cuz of how he's seen them treat me).

My husband and I were having dinner last night and I was talking to him about my test try for yogurt the night before, and I had a VERY minor reaction to it. Minor pain, possibly the yogurt passing through the digestive tract. So, he told me that he doesn't want me to have any yogurt anymore since it gave me a small reaction. He basically doesn't want me to have anything that could possibly give me any kind of reaction and make my UC worse. I'm sure he's overprotective of me, but from my family life, I love his protectiveness. It makes me feel loved and cared for.

I guess thinking on this makes this Christmas feel like Christmas. smilewinkgrin

Well Merry Christmas Sweetie! What better present could you get than a husband that is supportive of you. Do you generally have a problem with milk products? This might be why you had a reaction to the yogurt. Hope you are feeling better now.

Merry Christmas. There's no better gift than a supportive partner. My husband is so special we've been together 40 years, and I hope to keep him for 40 more.

Merry Christmas!!! Yeah, I am minorly lactose intolerant, but I've heard that yogurt is good for you, and I can have Jamba Juice drinks, and homemade smoothies, so I decided to try yogurt. Oh well, guess I need to find something else, or just have yogurt once every few months.

Hope everyone else is having a great Christmas.

You could try taking probiotics instead of eating yogurt. For homemade smoothies, why not try rice milk?

Having a supportive spouse is extremely reassuring and comforting. It's great to hear your husband has your best interests at heart...but the yogurt shouldn't make your UC worse...it will, however cause you more discomfort.
