I believe I am bloating right now. My stomach area is bigger and it hurts a little. I know that I have tightened intestines right now because of my last colonoscopy and that it is possible that food could get stuck in them. I have Immodium Advanced and I am thinking to take it. The problem is that I have to wait until I have a bowel movement. Anyone know of any other treatment for bloating?

In case of bloating, I use the chewable Gas-X (they come with yummy cherry flavor, too). They work lightning fast for me! Have you tried these?

I have not. I tried Imodium Advanced, and it helped very quickly too. I am wondering if I have to use more now. I remember Tylenol Arthiritis working just as fast when I was having some arthiritis.

The Immodium Advanced contain Simithicone or something like that - it is the main ingrediant in Gas x. In the generic form it is quite cheap. That is probably why the Immodium is working. I would try just the gas x if you are bloated and don't have diarrhea.

I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.
