Title pretty much says it all...

What effect did 6MP have on you when it started to work?
I have a feeling that they may be kicking in a bit, but I am also reducing my steroid dosage right now, so it is hard to tell what is really happening since I have several factors changing at once.

thanks

What were your symptoms before starting 6mp and how are they now? And what are the factors?

Well I have been flaring for last 6 months, and am close to getting surgery as a result. symptoms have been for from consistant, although have been consistantly bad, just switch from pain, to blood etc... had bad reactions to other drugs which has upset things. basically I find it is impossible to tell if its te ^MP working, or something else, because other factors such as medication keep changing.

I just want to know how 6mp effected others when it started to work so that I can see if that matches up with me.

The 6MP takes from three to six months to kick in.  I had to take it along with the prednisone.  I noticed a difference about three months into my regimen.  Symptoms subsided...bleeding gone was the first thing I noticed, then urgency subsided.  Now I have normal bowel movements about once or twice a day.  Good luck!

Update 11/03/08...finally in remission!!  Hope I don't jinx myself.  Off the prednisone since 11/01/08...now see if I can stay off for longer than two weeks.  Other meds: 6MP (75 mgm), colazal (6 per day), Benicar and Toprol (high blood pressure meds), Probiotic (2 per day), fish oil capsule and multi-vitamin and calcium with vitamin D.
