It seems you and I have a very similiar case of proctitis. I too was hospitalized back in March 2008. I have tried everything to get it under control except 6mp or remicade. My new GI at BIDMC in Boston just put me on sulfasalize and told me to ween off the hydrocort enemas. Anyway, since 12/24 and medication switch I have gotten worse. I have already had 6 BM this morning with a lot of blood.
Did you have to take the 6MP with the prednisone? How long did it take the 6MP to work?
I am considering going to the ER sometime today.....I am just so scared.
