Hey guys and girls,

Just thought I'd give yo ua little update after my hosptial visit at the weekend with that constipation/flare up.

I had my first appointment with my new GI yesterday morning. He was the usual doctor type, but pleasant enough! Scoffed a bit at my Pred side-effects (the shakes, palpatations etc), saying that I'd only been on the drugs 5 days! ( well, excuse me!)

BUT.... he has booked me in for a colonoscopy tommorow!! Wow! how quick is that? So I start the dreaded Picolax (sic) today...still having a few constipation issues so hopefully this will clean me out for good!

Am actually very nervous about tommorow....I've only had one scope done since I was diagnosed, and I seem to remember that I was aware of what was going on...that and the fact that I have a really bad needle phobia! shakehead
Oh well, I just want to get this done and see where I go from there.....stay tuned folks! smilewinkgrin

Well good luck...

And good luck with the pred..hopefully you'll taper quick and not have to worry. Funny how doctors overlook some things...like feeling your heart beat all funny isn't supposed to be stressful.
When I was a teenager, I had a period where I had a lot of palpitations (they were harmless), but caused me a great deal of stress at the time. I'm used to them now and get them very infrequently now. Basically saying I understand where you're coming from. I also hate needles haha.

Anyways...best of luck once again :-) I

the prep is the worst part of it, they give you good drugs for the colonoscopy so you don't remember much and don't feel anything.

drink your prep over ice slowly w/a straw.

good luck!
