If the bottom pain you're talking about
is rectal/anal pain or pressure, that's usually a sign of inflammation. If you've had it all along, that means you never really have gotten out of your flare, and it will only get worse unless it is treated. Rectal medications are usually highly effective, but it does take some time to clear up. Flares start in the rectum and gradually extend farther up into the colon. Thus, the rectum is the first to become inflamed and the last to lose the inflammation
