Hi.. welcome to the forum.
Is your UC throughout your colon or limited (to where?)?
As we heal, the rectum will be the last to heal....with the rest of your colon probably healing and the rectum still inflamed, It seems to have some "control" over the colon movements and can slow things down a lot. Sometimes better since it hurts a lot when a formed stool goes through a severely inflamed butt.
It's good you don't have a blockage.
You could do a few things to start to loosen the stool a bit...fibre supplement such as Metamucil. Add fruit, veggies, etc.
But, for the stool that's in there already, it will eventually come. Using rectal meds will help heal the rectum.
Are you eating enough food? Taking in enough fluids?
You could try to sit in a warm sitz bath to try and relax the anal/rectal muscles a bit...that could encourage a bm.
Do you drink coffee? That for many people will help stimulate the sigmoid into "downloading" stool into the rectum....it's a great kick-start.
Hope this helps.
