Why does HW prevent posters here from writing the word A-s-h-k-e-n-a-z-i in its entirety? I 1st noticed this a couple yrs ago, but recently it happened again in some posts by pb4. This is not any kind of "bad" word! It describes the Jewish communities dispersed to the Holy Roman Empire & the descended population. What would it take to get this fixed? / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

I agree...especially since UC is strong in that ethnic group.

Unfortunately, the program apparently doesn't currently recognize whole words/parts of words. It just sees an alpha string that is on its list. You might inquire of the Administrator; I don't know whether he has programming ability within the language screener or not.

another word that is unfortunatly blocked is l-e-s-b-i-a-n.
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

From what I've read and heard IBD in general is more prevelant in the jewish community...though CD is more often DX over UC regardless of race/color, ect.
