Hi everyone, i am ordered to take the 2oz bottle of the fleets phoso. as prep for surgery im having. (not related to my uc). I have been told that it was recalled and now off the shelves. My doc said to take the mag. citrate. Problem is, is that it is a 10oz bottle and has no real directions on how to take it. Should i only take about 2 oz of it or does it not work as well asthe fleets and i might need more? HELP

Unfortunately, the mag citrate isn't as potent as the Fleet which is good in some ways, but you will most likely have to drink the whole bottle. In fact, when I did that prep I drank two bottles and it really didn't work that well, so 2oz will in no way be enough to clean you out. :(

Good luck with your surgery!!

Maybe follow it with plenty of water and about 4-6 dulcolax tabs again with plenty of water...my GI's always perscribed dulcolax tabs along with the phospho fleet soda so it should be okay with the mag.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)
