I am new to this, but I think I am in remission right now even though on Jan 12 my colonoscopy showed inflammation in my colon. I currently don't have any cramping at all. But perhaps everyone experiences remission differently... maybe if you only get cramps occasionally compared to with every bm (like I used to have), maybe that is remission for you??

Yes I get cramping almost every time I go. The burning tush though, do you think you might have hemmeroids? I know my hemmies burn when I go and sometimes I will see a bright red blood on the stool.
