hi again!

i've spent so much time wondering waht to include in my diet - what supplements, i mean, as I cannot eat anything but potatoes and some sandwiches..  (bread, ham and margarine)

and even that does not quite agree with my bowels.

i live in canada - i don't know which brands are reliable, i know i should use some fish oil, flax seed oil and probably evening primrose oil for my eczema, and also - some multivitamins and probiotics, but which brand? what dosage? where to buy them..

i visited a health food store today, but feel confused...

if you have already discussed that, please refer me to that thread..

thanks everyone idea

I think you just need to find the brand and dosage that works best for you. It's all trial and error. We can give you ideas and you can go from there but what works for one may not work for another. The one thing I recommend the highest is a good multi-vitamin - I personally love the one called Forvia. It is especially designed for Ibd'ers. It can only be ordered from on line at www.forvia.com I know that some multi-vitamins have some extra junk it them that may not agree with a Uc'er. For a long time I was taking a regular multi-vitamin and I just didn't feel good. Then I started Forvia and boy what a difference! I felt much better overall. The same with probiotics. Some work better on others and sometimes they don't. I tried 2 other brands before I found the one that works for me - once again, ordered from online - Pro-Bio at www.enzymedica.com I could never do fish oil. For some reason it bothered my Uc and the same for flax seed oil.

I also live in Canada. I use Natural Factors right now but if you have extra cash to burn look into Metagenics. That stuff is amazing...just I can't afford $80 and up a bottle.

When I ordered my Forvia, I've never had a single problem with their delivery or payment. The vitamin is a little more expensive then the regular ones but to me, it's worth it! :)
