Well, thursday I came home and after a BM it became clear that I was starting to flare again. I had gotten some of the symptoms in the week past (Bad gas, diarrhea), but those had both gone away and I thought it was just part of the cold I had had. But seeing blood in toilet again, there is only one thing it could be. And it wasn't just a hint of blood, it was full blown "looks like someone gut a human over the toilet bowl" type event.
Anyway, I ended up becoming violently ill and threw up for most of the day (Though...er...that was probably my fault. I panicked and took some extra medication that I probably shouldn't have). I knew I was going to call the gastroenterologist in the morning and steeled myself to start back up pred.
Then the weird thing happened...yesterday I woke up and felt, more or less, fine. No nausea and overwhelming urges to go. In fact, after the two bloody BMs on thursday, I haven't had another BM at ALL (going on 2 days now). At first I thought it may be because I basically lost everything my digestive tract that first day with the diarrhea and throwing up...but...when I flared the first time I wasn't eating or drinking much and still went 10+ times a day.
I have been eating little, and been trying to eat only stuff that was easy to digest when I have eaten (Oatmeal, rice, yogurt) but...well, this has never happened to me before. I have only flared once, when I was first diagnosed, and this whole...episode is so foreign and scary in a way. I haven't felt any other symptoms that I can link to that. I have a minor headache, but I've put that down to caffeine withdraw (multiple sodas a day usually, down to none since thursday). Other than that really, I feel fine.
I wanted to see what was going to happen before I talked to the doctor but now I am not sure if I should call or not. Poor+No insurance means I really need to stick to as few visits as possible.
Has anyone had anything like this before?
