Hi.  I usually just read all the posts and find them all very good.  Must say I have learned alot about UC since finding this forum...So thanx to all of you!!!!
Anyway, I was diagnosed in May 2007 after suffering for about 3 weeks.  Compared to some of you I haven't had it that bad.  I have been on Asacol - (stopped working after a couple of weeks), Pentasa (stopped working as well), Imuran (made me very ill), and now Remicade.  Of course during the last 2 years I have been on and off of Prednisone regulary as well.
I have had 7 Remicade infusions  and everything seems to be going well so far....until now!!!  I had my last infusion the first week of January and since then I have felt nauseous, headache every day, constant pain in my stomach and extremely tired.  I have always been tired but since january I feel exhausted.
Bowel movements are still the same (2-3 per day very loose), some urgency in the morning.  Yesterday there were small traces of blood but nothing major.  I feel nauseous when I haven't eaten and when I have eaten.
Just curious if this seems familiar to anyone???????

I don't want to scare you, but Remicade didn't work for me, but I knew it wasn't working from the beginning. I'm sorry you're starting to see changes...does the Prednisone help with the problems then do they stay gone? Or do your symptoms come back after awhile? I'm glad you don't seem to have severe issues...and I sure hope they don't get any worse!!!

Nothing has worked for me, and my case is severe and just not fun at all. : )

What does your nurse or GI say about your symptoms coming back? I always knew something wasn't good when I saw blood...but that's me. After reading these threads I have learned that not everyone's UC is the same...it's a little crazy actually, b/c some cases can be so minimal that Asacol can cure.

Life has never been so sweet!  I appreciate the small things in life...the little joys that occur every second of every day.  Though we struggle and have crazy complications, nothing can over ride our love and happiness.
Surgery is scheduled for February 6th!!!  : )   Yea!!!!!!!!!!
