I started back on the pred about 10 days ago. The Nurse Practitioner also ordered some pooh studies (fecal WBC, C Diff, giardia, etc.). I'm curious though, since I was on the pred for about 9 days before I was able to get a sample to the lab, could the results be misleading? i.e. my results came back negative for fecal wbc. Which means one of two things: the prednisone has helped bring the inflammation under control and that is why there is no fWBC's or there were no fWBC's to begin with (e.g., no inflammation). What do ya'll think? My colon feels better overall since I restarted the pred though.

P.S. Why does my pooh stink something wicked? And my farts too? If there isn't any c diff? Any insight? Would probiotics help with this? I'm considering trying vsl#3.

Thanks. Appreciate you're wisdom.
