What is a granuloma?

My daughters latest endoscopy showed grauloma. What is it? Does this mean she has chron's rather than colitis?

It's basically a mass of some sort. What did the doctor say about it?

Granuloma is caused by inflammation or tissue injury. They're benign and usually cause no symptoms. Here's a reference:
