Does your bf know that you have UC? If not, I would tell him if I were you. I'm recently diagnosed and most of my coworkers know that I have UC. I find that it's been easy to be very
open and honest about
it. They way I see it, the more people that know about
it, the better it is for those of us who have it.
Anyway, if the moonface does develop, just tell him it's because of the prednisone and that it will go away. If he's an @ss about
it, dump him! Anyone who places that much value on (a temporary!) physical appearance isn't worth keeping.
I am newly diagnosed so haven't been on prednisone, but from what I've read on here not everyone gets it.
(it being moonface)
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).
