I hope this is ok to post here.  I see that drugstore.com has many of the "common" probiotics on sale.  I take Align (which is not on sale - darn) and could not tolerate the stronger ones so thought maybe this could help some of you.

Elaine, yes it's fine to post this because you don't have vested interest and you just want to share. I get mine online too but I can't get it thru drugstore.com.

Thanks Sherry!  I know many here take so called "better" Probiotics.  I do believe if you have a problem taking one kind - you should try another.  My doctor gave me two different samples.  I could not take Digestive Advantage and a friend recommended what is supposed to be more potent Primal Defense.  I tried both and they were terrible - could not adjust to gas, etc.  Align worked in about a week.

I know what you mean. I tried VSL first and it gave me horrible gas that I just couldn't handle and then I tried another brand I found at the health food store - same thing, the gas was actually sort of painful. And then someone on here mentioned Pro-Bio, I ordered a bottle thinking that this wasn't going to work but to my surprise it did! I didn't have gas and I could tell a difference in about a week.

That's funny. I thought you wanted to sell your Pancolitis or something like that. If we could only do that.

I don't buy medicine/vitamins/Probiotics online. I read that some companies were selling fake pills online. There are probably many legit companies selling through the Internet, but I somehow feel safer buying them at the drug store.

Joy - I would not buy them from anywhere either - Drugstore.com is Rite Aid - same stuff you get at their drugstore.  I checked with my pharmacy and he said "safe" and same stuff.  Just wanted you to know.  Sometimes here in the snow we can't get out shopping and I have VERY bad knees so I have to rely on the internet but it is very important to shop only secure/safe sites and medicine/vitamins, etc. could be tricky.  This same site I can refill my prescriptions, etc.

Hi ElaineNY,

That's very true. I do have the luxury of being near about 10 different drug stores. My boyfriend is insured with Kaiser. He gets his pills through the mail from them. He says that's safe too.
