Thank you soooooo much for the anniversary wishes! We'll be on different schedules today and hopefully be able to get out to supper next week once he's pain-free and on his days off from work.

Happy Anniversary and here's to many more!  You could put ice cream, cake, etc. in a blender for your hubby LOL!!  Anyway!  You can celebrate when you all feel like it - enjoy it more that way!

Senior - New diagnosed with proctosigmoiditis - 6/2008
Tried all mesalamines and enemas, Canasa, etc.  Colonoscopy 10/28 showed only few cm. left to heal -hydrocortisone enemas 12 days - much worse.
2/3/2009 - sigmoidoscopy showed about 30 cm. involved but mild - starting on prednisone only 40 mg. taper on 2/7/2009.
 Feb. 21 - down to 20 mg. - no blood, no pain, no bad side effects so far.  Plan on adding 6MP (or?) at lowest possible prednisone dose.
Probiotic Align, Prilosec for GERD

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999.
 
Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, l-glutamine, vitamin D and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice. Oregano oil antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free diet. Long-term remission with only minor blips.

Happy anniversary!
Ulcerative proctitis diagnosed in July 2006. Medications: Salofalk enema nightly.
Remission from Nov 2006 to Oct 2007. Then a bad cold and a bad flare for 1 year till Nov 2008.
Pancolitis diagnosed in April 2008. Current medications: Salofalk enema, Salofalk tablets 1000mg x 2/day, Entocort enema (tapering).
Supplements: Calcium with Vitamin D, Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin C, psyllium capsule (Metamucil) and bee propolis.

Thanks everyone...it's 30 years, and truthfully doesn't seem anywhere near that!

I worked this afternoon and will also be doing so this evening. We'll have supper another night next week! We met for a quick sandwich/doughnut and coffee at Tim's..lol!

DX:  Pancolitis as of 9/08 (Proctitis as of 1/08) and IBS
Current Treament:  Spinach/Sunflower Seed Diet
Previous Treatment:  Canasa suppositories, Cortifoam, Prednisone, Colazal, Symex DuoTabs, Rowasa, Bentyl, Cortenema, Asacol, Iron, Zoloft, Acidophilus.

Sounds like a plan!  My oldest son is 46 today so I am feeilng really OLD.  My husband and I have been married almost 48 years - maybe you guys go way beyond that!!

Thirty years... that's awesome. Hubby and I are only coming up on our third this year.

Thirty years! Wow, Congrats! My hubby and I are celebrating 4 years in 2 weeks. :)
27 year old, Married, Female.
Diagnosed with UC since March 2007

Taking Humira and Imuran since May 2007 (Currently in remission since May 2007)
Taken off Imuran 1/15/09
Only taking Humira.

Can't take Asacol, Allergic to Remicade

There have been lots of ups and downs, I won't deny it, mostly on my part with not feeling well. My husband truly is a blessing and doesn't really deserve my short-comings, but he accepts them and I'm working on it. blush

Would you believe my dad said to him the first time they met..."Don't give her everything on a silver platter or you're not welcome in my home".  nono

My husband's reply was nothing but raised eyebrows....but to me he said "your dad's an ***hole!"

Ok, I'm spoiled up to a point..but it's my husband's fault!! lol! tongue

Many wishes of wedded bliss to you all!!! time goes quickly, so if you have issues to deal with, don't waste the time for them to get figured out on their own. idea
