Does anyone else have a liquid come out first thing in the morning? What may that mean?

I do every morning that I'm flaring. This morning was just like that unfortunately. I felt good all day yesterday and my bleeding is down to almost nothing, but still I had D. Sucks! I just assumed it means my colon not willing to pass anything firmer. Perhaps someone can correct that thought?

I have that, its like a mucusy liquid. I usually have a bm with stool every six or seven hours. But every three hours or so I have to pass this mucusy liquid. My guess is because the lower portion of my colon is still inflamed it is producing a lot of mucus which eventually builds up enough that it irritates the colon and has to be passed. And yes it always happens first thing in the morning after not going to the restroom all night.

i was talking about passing something thats liquid, the consistency of water. it is usually tan in color. i'll go first thing in the morning then have about 2 more bm's of solid stool with very little or no blood at all. When i say solid i mean it wont break apart during the flush. i call it D b/c thats my normal bm but i ate an oreo blast the other day and what i got the next day was real Diahrrea.
I'm thinking the liquid has something to do with my microflora. my reasoning for this is that the first time i passed a liquid substance was when i took antibiotics and i had a horrible flare. I'm not talking about mucus b/c mucus is kind of thick and this stuff just blends into the toilet water making it murky. am i the only one to get this?

When my D was really severe I had several bowel movements that were basically just colored water with little to no solids.
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

Since I use an enema nightly before going to bed, my first BM in the morning is, always, coloured liquid + enema + mucus + stool. And the water in the toilet bowl is cloudy and I can't see clearly what's what.
Ulcerative proctitis diagnosed in July 2006. Medications: Salofalk enema nightly.
Remission from Nov 2006 to Oct 2007. Then a bad cold and a bad flare for 1 year till Nov 2008.
Pancolitis diagnosed in April 2008. Current medications: Salofalk enema, Salofalk tablets 1000mg x 2/day, Entocort enema (tapering).
Supplements: Calcium with Vitamin D, Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin C, psyllium capsule (Metamucil) and bee propolis.

Are you on any meds?

I get that when I'm flaring....but do on occasion have diarrhea when I've taken too much vitamin C or eaten something that's too spicy or too fatty.

A flare has a different feeling, because it'll be rectal as well....

Food diarrhea will end once it's all out.

Oh, I've had diarrhea on occasion if I've been super distressed for a few days, but it seems the digestion may not be on par...so, maybe a combo of things.

In any event, it won't last if it's not flare related.

Nope, you're not the only one- I get the EXACT same thing, same color and all, every day. Often it has the worst smell of any other BM too...

No i'm not on any prescription meds. I recently stopped bleeding and started forming stools again so i am excited about that. I just want to figure out why my first BM is so different. It's definately flare related and i'm starting to think that it is mucus just a really diluted form or something b/c its very much liquid.

the answer seems simple....please call the doc and maybe get on some meds that could help.

You cannot take 5ASA, right?

At least try rectal meds.
