Has anyone used colostrum supplements?  I've just talked to a friend that takes the supplement to help her immune system.  While doing a little researching on the internet, I saw several references to it's benefit for IBD patients.

If you have some personal experience taking this supplement I'd sure appreciate hearing from you.   I'm always on the lookout for anything that could help!

Thanks in advance.

New Life's Colostrum is good but I would recommend GHT's Colostrum because it has Zinc + all the IG factors for immune system.
Diagnosed with UC in Feb 2008
Flare up in june 2008. took more antibiotics. Harder flare
Took prednisone for two months then 6mp. But I decided to get off on both.

10/08Started drinking hard liquors and once drank 15 shots in an hour.
Next day flare up.
11/08 Started anti-yeast regimen. I crapped out so much yeast. still crapping out yeast.

On: zinc, cod liver oil, coral calcium, probiotics, threelac, alpha lipoic acid, chlorella, sea salt, garlic

2-3 times a day to the bathroom. A little bit of diarrhea then soft stool comes out. no bloating. good digestion.

Also, take L-glutamine. It's going to heal the intestines at a faster rate because it is the most abundant amino acid present in the intestines even though it is considered to be a non-essential one. but if glutamine levels are low then you will heal at a slower rate. and its good to take during the stressful times as well b/c level of glutamine drop during those times.

I tried colostrum for 3 months everyday and didn't notice any change, best thing to do is try for yourself though since what works for some doesn't work for all...good luck!

:)
My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)
