I was going through a book on natural herbs and it said that cammomille tea and cloves provide some relief from UC symptoms. has anyone else either herd of or tried this? And if so how did it work out?

I used chamomile about 3 years ago and I found that it makes your 'urgency' more controllable. It seems to have a calming effect on the colon

I drink it everyday for my crohn's colitis (CD affecting the colon), chamomile is actually proven to aid with women's menstral cramping, it's a natural anti-inflammatory and I believe that's why it's beneficial for IBD as well.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)

It's a taste that some might not like, just because it has a calming effect, it doesn't mean you'll be able to use it. The reason I always bring this up is that excess can be something easily accomplished. As well, if you have allergies, it might be contraindicated for you. Do the research.

Keep us posted as to how you're doing on it.

If you can't drink it, you can always rinse your hair with it....will encourage natural hilights (mild lightening action to it).
