Hi

I went into hospital in 2005 for an anal skin tag removal and the surgeon did the wrong op in a haemorroidectomy with no bowel prep before or after and used the wrong packing, hence I was left with a severe fissure that needed a skin graft, i had constant infections and pus and blood would drip down my legs, i had to go the the toilet on the floor for months due to the increased pressure in my backside as the pain was so bad, nearly 4 years on im having my 10th op, il list below some ive already have. Im bedridden 95% of time as im in so much pain, tests have confirmed my sigmoid colon has now prolapsed and my left colon does nt fucntion prop and i have slow gut transit.  I also have severe bladder pains which my surgeon says is due to sigmoid colon?

Any advice appreciated, i have no life at all at the moment

While we can relate to the pain and intensity of the lack of bowel control, many of us here suffer from Ulcerative colitis and not slow gut transit. If you want to know more about the surgeries then I recommend you visit our Ostomy forum. Some people there may have more answers for you. I'm so sorry are having to endure all this. It does not sound fun at all :(

That is truly awful! I hope you are taking legal action against the doctor and hospital that allowed this to happen to you. I agree with Red. You should go to the Ostomy forum. You will find a ton of support there. I think you will get your life back soon.
