When I was at my dentist this week, I learned of a program I knew nothing about. It's called CareCredit. It's like a credit card for health care services, but you can take up to 18 months to pay without being charged any interest. I think it might be helpful for that occasional expensive procedure, like if you don't have insurance and need a colonoscopy. You could put it on the card and pay it off over 12-18 months.

Note that I have no particular knowledge of this plan other than what I read on the web site, so I'm not saying it's good or bad. Judge for yourselves.
