Hi, I had lot of gas and pain last year and worst UC. My GP doctor suggested me to take probiotic. It helped me to get rid of gas right away. Currently I am taking VSL#3DS.

seems you might be starting a flare Sam....any rectal meds on order?
That could help.

You were suspecting one anyway....especially if you cannot pin point it to anything in particular. Oh is it around period time?

Consider rectal meds if you have them.

Actually over spring break I was perfectly fine, which leads me to believe its school and IBS, not UC. Even over the weekends when I go home I'm fine.
I have found though that I get much more gas pain being in remission than I ever did flaring. Its close to period time but I've got about a week.
I just needed to gripe. They are sooo painful!

Well, you know best...just don't wait too long if it is becoming more consistent. I've suggested it because those are definitely symptoms of an early flare...

You could try changing your diet somewhat if it is IBS...but being in the scholastic situation you're in, I won't even suggest less stress..lol! I would think that would be impossible.

You could consider some teas such as peppermint, fennel (or chew on the seeds) or others that are gas relievers.

Hope you feel better soon....
