I kept waking up last night due to cramps. I thought, "Oh, no. My Colitis symptoms are coming back." It turned out I have my period. I know I shouldn't complain. At least I'm not flaring; however, I wish I wasn't always looking for the slightest indication that I might start to flare again. I wish I could just live life like before I ever got Colitis.

Don't expect your doctor to cure your health problems. Your health is your responsibility.

Lexapro (for stress), Probiotics and Vitamins (a whole bunch of them)
Avoid HFCS, foods high in fructose, artificial sweeteners
When flaring: eat anti-inflammatory foods, avoid pro-inflammatory foods
Previous treatments: Fecal transplantation (worked), Prednisone (stopped working), Colazal (stopped working), Asacol (stopped working)

Thankfully it wasn't a flare. You are entitled to complain all you want! Don't beat yourself up for that. We all wish life could be normal again. Hang in there

I have faith that eventually life will return to normal. As the growing advances in the medical field will eventually find the root of this disease and one day cure it. Remember, there is always hope.
Asacol-12 a day
1 Culturelle
1 Canasa
2 Fish oil supplements
1 Vitamin

It's easy to get caught up in the fear but believe it or not, it really does get better over time.
