I tried it for a while. Did nothing for me whatsoever.

It never made a difference for me either but of course everyone is different, far as I know it shouldn't conflict with pred, but you can always double check with your pharmacist.

I also used it and it did nothing at all to help my persistent diarrhea, sadly.
23 years of UC which started after quitting smoking. In and out of flares which are usually triggered by antibiotics. Latest issue is endless diarrhea without blood or mucous.

L-glutamine is a natural amino acid. It's not going to conflict with medications and there's no limit on the time you can take it. I've taken it persistently for years while taking an ASA and while on a short course of pred a couple of years ago.

Correction: I did some research and there are a few drugs with which you might have an interaction:

Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999.

Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, l-glutamine, vitamin D and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice. Oregano oil antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free diet. Long-term remission with only minor blips.
