I just found out that I am pregnant with my third child, and that the prenatal vitamin that I toll with both previous pregnancies has been discontinued.  Ugh!!!
Now I am LOST with regard to finding a prenatal that won't upset the sleeping dogs if you know what I mean.  Anyone use a prenatal that worked for them?  A stool softener for me is a definite no no!

Congratulations, Tara!! Glad to see there's another girl pregnant & on imuran on here. (and I'm pregnant w/ #3, too, how funny!) I take the "nature's choice" prenatal with no ill effects so far; I've been using this brand for about 5 weeks now. I think it's made by Giant-I get it from my grocery store. When are you due?

Most prenatals don't contain stool softeners, so it shouldn't be a problem to find one that doesn't have it. I just used Kroger brand...basically, you just want to make sure you're getting enough folic acid and iron. The good thing about iron is that it can be constipating, which is why some prenatals have stool softeners!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, 40mg 30mg of Prednisone (quick taper), Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

Supplement with DHA too. I'd do at least 1000mg day during pregnancy and while breastfeeding if you do that. I'd get a DHA formula containing at least 500 mg per 1 capsule. Don't get fooled by the ole fish oil game.
