I know many say chicken broth is acceptable, but is that the little cubes they are talking about?
Also what about canned pineapple juice?
Anything else you found decent to drink during the day?   I will have hubby run out to get what is needed before he goews to work.
Also did you get a prescription for nausea meds from your doc to stop the throwing up of the prep?
One more.  Has anyone ever been able to actually drink that whole gallon?

I would get a boxed or canned chicken broth that says NO MSG. Swanson makes a "Natural Goodness" line that doesn't have it. A lot of those little cubes have it. I think pineapple juice would be a no-no because it has a little bit of pulp. I know orange juice is a no-no. Apple juice and white grape juice are both ok, as is lemonade and gatorade (not red or purple, I think). I didn't have a problem with drinking the prep at all.
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, 40mg 30mg 20mg of Prednisone (quick taper), Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

I hope you are ok. I just wanted to let you know that the colonoscopy will not be as scary as you might imagine. My husband was very worried about it and even he admitted it was not a big deal. Also, you might not throw up, he didn't and most people don't. Hang in there.

Thanks both of you.

Missea86, as much as I sound like a rookie, this is my 5th colonoscopy. It's just a new prep for me, as I used to use something they discontinued.
I am always looking for new suggestions on how to make the day go a little easier. :)

What kind of prep are you taking? I had 12 or 13 scopes so far and  I have seen a lot of different preps, but I have to say that the 4 Dulcolax at 3 PM and one medium size bottle of Miralax in 1/2 gallon of water at 6 PM works best and is almost without trouble or bother.

Otherwise, I would agree to Swanson broth in the can or the carton. You can also eat Jell-O that is not red or purple in color. You might get tired of it just after a few bites, but hey! It almost feels like solid food (I ate jell-o for the first time when I was prepping and now, I can't see Jell-O anymore, bleh!!!) . When you get nauseous, you might want to try 7 UP or Sprite. The lime-lemon taste helped me with nausea during drinking the prep. I actually took a sip of 7UP before I drank a big gulp of the prep and took another sip of 7UP when I just swallowed the prep. If you like, you can also suck on Altoids. Provided that you like strong peppermint taste, but it really does help with the nausea and distract your taste buds from the unpleasant taste of the prep.

All the best to you and after this sucky day of prep, you are all done for a while! :-) At least this thought keeps me going through the sucky prep.

I am taking Trilytly. I put in the lemon-lime flavor packet. Don't start drinking it for a few hours yet.

Yes, knowing tomorrow will soon come helps me get though this day. :)

I had a colonoscopy just over a month ago and used Miralax, Gatorade, Bisacodyl and Magnesium Citrate for prep'ing as noted on the web page noted below. It was by far the best prep I had ever had. I used the Gatorade that looks like pee and it went down and stayed down without any problem. It actually tasted good. All of my other colonoscopies (4 or 5) used different preps which were disgusting.
