I had been in remission for 4 years then I started taking Wellbutrin and a week later my UC started. Is it possible
it triggered the flare or just a coincidence?

Probably coincidence.....why did you start Wellbutrin?
Many of us aren't able to recognise early symptoms especially if there's something else going on in our lives that's bigger and requires a lot of our emotional focus.

I flare when I'm on minimal meds and there's something emotional happening...some sort of crisis that I feel somehow helpless..etc.

I was having memory loss. They did an MRI, no brain problems so the doc said it's depression. I was feeling for sad for no apparent reason at all.
I have a great life and I"m very happy, but I started to take the Wellbutrin and the sadness went away completely as did the memory problems.

I know that SSRI's give me D but I believe that Wellbutrin is a different formula. Too bad about your UC flaring up, at least you aren't feeling depressed and your memory is improved. I was thinking of going on Wellbutrin myself.

The Wellbutrin really made a difference, it gave me energy and made me "happy" right away. I'm thinking much clearer and not having any memory problems at all, so yes, that's great! It's very coincidental that my UC flared just a few days after I started the Wellbutrin
