My bleeding has been slowing down lately but what I have realized is that I am having these weird BMs where everything is normal but I have pieces of dry blood floating about... kind of like when a cut gets dry on your skin!

It is confusing, does this mean that I am healing or does it mean that things are getting worse?

I'm having on and off days, 4 days with constant need to go to the washroom with this dry blood and 3 to 5 when my BM is completely healthy with no blood or constant need for a washroom... shakehead it's like my body goes in and out of remission like michael phelps in a pool... any help would be awesome - thank you

If the pieces of blood are black, it may be a good sign. The bright red blood is newly released. Can't help too much, but when my daughter had dried blood with no new blood, she was healing. The BM's of you UC'ers are always a bit weird wink

black colored blood is never a good sign, it means it's old blood usually from high up in the GI tract.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)
