Helo All,
Good Morning..
I'm having problems emptying out my bowels in the morning.
The main problem is during weekdays..During weekends i woke up around 9.00am and use restroom and later may b once after 1/2 hour..that is it.
this happens on sat and sun..but morning i need to start to work by 8.00am and even after making lot of attempts i'm not able to empty out.
I feel like using restroom during my drive to work..which is very annoying and painful..it almost comes as urgency and i need to look for a gasstation or some other place.
Do you guys face this kind of problem..?
If so what is the solution for this..i don't want to take any medication to come out of this situation..
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or inputs for me..
Thanks all for reading this and waiting for your responses.
Note: I'm currently in remission and taking colozal 3 /3 day and Canasa  every night,Propbiotics
Have a great week ahead.

I'm used to going the first 1/2 hour or so after getting up the only thing I can suggest is when you need to leave an hour earlier, get up an hour earlier than usual,so the bowels have time wake up before you leave.

Do you eat breakfast? Even a little food can get things moving. Or go for a quick walk or do a little exercise? And, unless it will bother you, you can try what "normal" people do and have a little coffee to stimulate things.

It's very annoying when the timing is off like that!
49 year old female attorney, diagnosed UC/pancolitis 1985, no surgery but much suffering. Asacol/5ASA 6x400 mg maintenance for 20+ years; use prednisone & Rowasa for flares.
August 2008 sought care of naturopathic doctor. Food sensitivity test showed wheat/gluten, other intolerances; eliminated all wheat/gluten from my diet. Probiotics (Ultimate Flora, 50 billion), trying Curamin.
Flaring, seasonal? or supplements too harsh? Back on prednisone, tried to taper but now back up to 20-30 after several really bad days. Waiting for insurance decison on Humira...soon...

Yeah, I get that too on occasion. For some odd reason I find that when that happens to me, if I stand up and drink a cup of coffee it makes me go to the bathroom. I'm not sure why standing up does that to me. Mind you that I drink coffee every morning anyway but standing up makes me get hit with the urgency. Have you ever tried fiber supplements? This may help get things going for you too.

I used to get up three hours before I needed to leave to be sure I could finish in the bathroom in time for the drive to work.

Most IBDers have major issues in the am, it's very common, it seems to be part of the behavior of the disease.

For me it's sitting up that makes me want to go. I got DVT (deep vein thrombosis) due to dehydration in my last flare. My left leg had been badly swollen and I need to wear compression stockings forever. I have to put on my stockings every morning before getting out of bed. Very often when I sit up I feel the urge to go.
