Is this a good probiotic to take? Does it have to be refrigerated? where do they sell it? At CVS or Rite Aid?

Do you mean Flora Q? If so, I used to take it and felt it was a fine probiotic. Better than some others I have taken, but I don't know that it is the best out there either. I didn't notice much difference in the way I felt when I stopped taking it (I had been taking it for maybe 9 months when I stopped?).

It does not have to be refrigerated (which some have argued with me means it isn't as good). I had trouble finding it locally, but was able to order it from drugstore.com. I would check at your local CVS or RiteAid first, or maybe a smaller apothecary or natural market? We have a few places like that that are very good resources for these kinds of things.

There are a lot of people out there who love this one-and I was first given it by my GI doc when I was diagnosed, so it can't hurt to try it!

Good luck!!!

Are you talking about Florastor? This is a probiotic I just heard about. I haven't tried it yet, but did get some samples and hope to try them in the next week or two. This one is a different formulation as it is actually a yeast and not a bacteria like other probiotics.

You probably mean Flora Q.  They placed me on it while I was hospitalized last year.  The doctor wrote a script for it but it is sold OTC now.  But, it is very expensive.  I take Powerdophilus by Country Life and purchase it online.  My GI doctor is aware of this and it is fine with him.

Jarrow brand has the same thing at a much more reasonable price, Jarrow has a pretty good rep for quality.
