Hi Everyone, I am new to the site.

My digestive symptoms are not that bad right now, mostly just urgency a few times a day and sometimes diarrhea. The doctor found that my bloodwork is in the normal range. But I feel like I am tired a lot even though I get about 9 hours of sleep a night, last week I could barely stay awake 2 days and another 2 days I felt okay in the morning but exhausted by 3pm. Do you think the tiredness is from UC, or something else? If it is UC, do you think it's worth taking the cortisone enema? I have never taken it and I am very hesitant.

I was just diagnosed this past week, and noticed the same exact thing the past month. My bloodwork was normal too, which is why my PCP did not thing I had UC. I wonder if just having UC can cause you to be tired even without many symptoms?? I have left sided UC and go about 2-3 times a day.

I sleep 9 to 10 hours a night and take a 2 hour afternoon nap. I could almost lie on the couch at any time of day or night and fall asleep.

I assume it's from this disease.
Ulcerative proctitis. On Asacol 3 3x a day, and Meslamine enemas nightly.
Blood is a bigger problem for mme than D.
Now urgency is still my biggest problem.  rarely have D, but extreme gas and urgency at any given time.
