Hi....it'll take time, and while it's scary, it's part of having UC when flaring if the lining is at that point of fragility.
It won't heal quickly, but since your symptoms have reduced, that's a good thing.
here in the colon is your UC...limited or throughout?
You may have symptoms while tapering...
You have a ways to go methinks.
Did the docs give you any other meds such as rectal?
When's your next appt with your GI?

My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS" worth it !!!
