Bruising and 6 MP....

Would that mean that my white count is low?  I had the CBC test Friday - wil that tell me?  Anyway, I found a couple of bruises and don't remember hitting anything and usually do not bruise easily.

Senior - New diagnosed with proctosigmoiditis - 6/2008  Cannot tolerate mesalamines, Canasa, etc. Tried, Colozal, steroid enemas, etc. - started working but severe side effects occurred.
Started on prednisone Feb.7, 2009 - tapering to 20 mg. for two more weeks. Bleeding returned - no call back from doc so I upped prenisone to 25mg. on my own - 6MP - 50 mg. 4/2/2009 
Probiotic Align, Prilosec for GERD, Gas-X, vitamins, Calcium/D
Tylenol for knees and arthritis.

Yes, the CBC will tell you if your WBC is low. If your WBC is normal you should still mention the easy bruising to your doc. I have always bruised easily but it was even worse when I was on steroid enemas. So it may be from the steroids that you're on - you're still on it yes? When I kept getting the bruises from no known cause, I mentioned it to my GI and he told me just to keep an eye on it and if it's worse or it continues to tell him. Now that I'm off the steroid enemas I still bruise just not like when I was on the steroid enemas.
